Once you’ve arrived at The
Bluffs of Wilson Creek, you’ll find no shortage of places

Accommodations
While Caldwell County and Blowing Rock are home to many well-known
national hotel chains, the area has more than its fair share of
quaint bed and breakfasts and rustic to luxurious rental cabins
and chalets ideal for either guests or special getaways.
Dining
You’ll enjoy a diverse range of dining choices, including
national fast-food and full-service restaurant chains, locally
owned fast-food, ethnic cuisine and fine, full-service restaurants
as well as catering businesses. The revitalization of Downtown
Lenoir has also opened a new generation of restaurants and musical

Recreation
The natural character of the land surrounding The Bluffs makes
it a virtual paradise for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds:
- The 50,000-acre Pisgah National Forest Grandfather Mountain
District offer hiking, mountain biking, camping, horseback
riding and other outdoor activities year round.
- Enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, rafting and
swimming at historic Wilson Creek Gorge, the Johns River, the
Catawba River, Lake Rhodhiss and Brown Mountain Beach.
- Hunters will find an abundance of black bear, wild turkey
and deer in Caldwell County’s forests.
- Public hunting, fishing and bird watching are popular in
the Mingo Tract, which includes more than 5,000 acres of gamelands
in the Buffalo Cove community operated by the North Carolina
Wildlife Resources Commission.
- The Brown Mountain Off-Highway Vehicle Area features 34 miles
of trails open to all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and trail bikes.
- The slopes of North Carolina’s finest ski resorts are
less than an hour’s drive away.
- Other popular natural attractions right around the corner
include Lake James, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain (Elev.
5964 feet), Linville Gorge, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
- Seven local parks host a variety of organized sports, including
baseball, softball, soccer, swimming, and football.
- TH Broyhill Park features a half-mile nature loop around
a man-made lake, complete with elegant oriental gardens.
- A community park includes hiking trails, picnic shelters,
tennis-basketball courts, and professionally designed baseball
fields, all within minutes of one another.
- Caldwell County is home to five golf courses: Country Acres
Golf Course, Cedar Rock Country Club, Granada Farms Country
Club, Lenoir Golf Club and Orchard Hills Golf Course.
